Halstead Preparatory

Halstead Preparatory

Last week I was fortunate enough to be able to deliver training to a group of TAs at Halstead Preparatory School in Woking. Halstead is a lovely girl’s school offering a varied and challenging curriculum to girl’s ages 3 to 11 years. The school focuses on children being taught in a homely and comfortable environment. Children are encouraged to ‘believe in themselves’ and to be the best they can be.

The training I delivered focused on ‘improving the progress and participation of learning’. Under this umbrella I provided an interactive and engaging session in which we looked at personalised learning, differentiation, quality questioning and an inclusive approach to SEND.

The TAs were enthusiastic, highly motivated and really benefitted from the time spent with their peers to share practice and develop their knowledge and understanding as to how to how to improve the support they give children in the classroom.

Feedback from the training was excellent.

This is what the Head Teacher Mrs Penny Austin said,

Dear Louise,

The course last week was wonderful and the TAs are still talking about it! I am thrilled to have found a source of training for our TAs – they are such a good team, determined to always do their best  and deserve the opportunity to experience high quality training.

It was a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to organising further training or sending staff to courses in the future. Please keep us posted about everything that the TA College offers.

Thank you so much for your time and friendly expertise.
